        每一位家长都希望为孩子提供最好的教育,而什么样的教育才是最好的教育呢?在“双减”背景下,家校共育的话题再一次被推到风口浪尖。我校一直注重建立互相支撑的家校关系,希望家长能与学校保持一致的育人理念,共同着眼于未来的教育,通过有效的家校合作,一起为孩子赋能。
 
        在第七届中澳班的毕业典礼上,费承越同学的妈妈作为家长代表发言,分享了孩子的成长经历和她的育儿感悟。如今,费承越同学已经被澳大利亚国立大学的高级计算机(荣誉)专业录取。我们希望通过分享英特家长的切身体会,为育儿路上迷茫的你提供一些借鉴和启发。

        我是中澳高三(4)班费承越的妈妈,今天能有机会在这里作为家长代表发言,倍感荣幸。在此,请允许我代表高三中澳班全体家长,向顺利完成高中学业、即将开启澳洲大学新征程的同学们表示热烈的祝贺,向为孩子们的成长倾注了诸多心血和汗水的老师们表示衷心的感谢。
 

        今天,作为家长代表我心里是惴惴不安的,在孩子的教育上我们基本上是“放”的态度,真谈不上有什么经验,就和大家谈一下孩子成长过程中的几点感想吧。

宽严相济的校园环境
 
        小升初的时候我们也参观了好几所民办初中,学校的硬件环境都很好,但学校关注的多是中考升学率,对于学生总感觉有一种压抑感。而进入英特校园,遇到的每一位学生都落落大方,脸上充满了阳光和自信,应该说我们第一眼就喜欢上了英特。而孩子也非常幸运,在没有奥数成绩、没有获奖证书的情况下,通过两次考试进入了英特。
 

        在英特的六年,以初三为界,孩子的学习生活明显分成了两个阶段。初中刚开始住校不适应,每周只住校一天,初二每周住校两天,到高中则完全适应了集体生活,遇到考试时甚至几周不愿回家。初中阶段学习是小学状态的延续,抓得不够紧,作业应付,成绩中等,课余运动不加节制,以至于老师要求我们收掉他的羽毛球拍。
 

        高中阶段,他的学习变得自觉自律,坚持运动但有节制,人也变得非常自信和开朗。这中间的转变,离不开英特校园文化的熏陶,离不开老师们的教诲,对孩子的思想动向、言谈举止都进行了正确引导。孩子激情学习了三年,更是快乐学习了六年。
 
和谐宽松的家庭环境

        现在家庭的重心都是围绕着孩子,围绕着成绩,我们家对此是关心但不过分关注。孩子在学校学习一周后回到家,我们要他好好放松,一起打打球,交流一些轻松的话题,对于学习的事愿意说就说,不愿意说也不强求,偶尔对一些困惑的问题提些建议,即使是在初中阶段学习成绩不理想时,我们也没有表现出过分焦虑,对于孩子更多的是予以鼓励。家庭的任务就是释放孩子的压力,调整孩子的心态。
 
激发孩子的内驱力

        在孩子的学习上,我一直认为学习是孩子自己的事,只有他自己意识到要好好学习,才会有动力去学好。对他的学习,我一直是采取比较“放”的态度,从来没要求他要争班上前几名,经常对他说:“学习的目的不是为了分数,是为了学懂知识,成绩只是评判你这一阶段的学习情况。关键是要学以致用,不要高分低能。”
 

        初中阶段,孩子很少主动说学习成绩的事,我只能从学校给的分数和中位分判断他所处的区间,感觉离杭外的目标还有差距,当时也是暗暗焦虑,问他需不需要开展针对性的课外补习,但他还没有意识到自己的差距,拒绝补课,我们也没有强求。在初三期中考试后,他可能自己意识到了差距,主动要求科学进行补课,但对于他比较弱的英语,他还是决定靠自己花时间。
 

        那一个多月时间,是他读初中以来最努力的学习状态,与我们的沟通也变得主动顺畅,但最终还是英语拖了后腿,没能如愿去杭外。我记得成绩出来的那天,他打电话哭得非常伤心,我听了非常揪心,火速赶回家安慰他:“没关系的,这只是你人生路上的一小步。功夫还是靠平时积累的,不是靠突击能一蹴而就的。只要你自己努力,中澳班也是不错的选择,也不会比杭外的同学差。”孩子听了也渐渐平复了心情,说接下来会好好学的。
 

        因为不爱背单词、英语作业偷工减料,孩子的英语漏洞很大,也让他学习的信心不是很足。一方面我告诉他,走中澳路线,英语是基础,否则会影响到其他学科的学习;另一方面英语老师也一直在鼓励他,重新激发了他学好英语的信心,从排斥背单词到主动记单词,词汇量上来了,英语成绩很快有了提升,自此英语学习走上了良性循环。其他学科的成绩也因学习态度的转变有了提升。
 
尊重和支持孩子的意愿
 
        每个人都渴望得到别人的尊重,孩子也一样。我们从没有不经过孩子允许就自主给他报兴趣班,所有的兴趣班都由他自己选取,课外辅导书也是他自己选定,我只给予经济上的支持。到了高中阶段,他的自我意识更强了,一些学校的活动及校外的竞赛都是自主参加,只有在需要接送或付费时才告知我,而有些获奖信息我是通过学校的公众号才得知的。
 

        到了高三,孩子提出希望能接受更专业的羽毛球训练。我一听心里有些着急,高三是关键时刻,时间宝贵,虽说他一再保证以不影响学业为前提,但周末大强度的训练,身体疲惫,学习效率也会降低。最后通过和他以及教练协商,合理安排训练课程,让他既能保证学习时间、又能接受专业训练。
 
 

        中学只是人生的一个阶段,孩子身上还存在着不少的缺点,需要不断学习改进,以上是我对孩子教育的一些浅薄认识,不当之处,请大家批评指正。

I‘m the mother of Daniel, who is from the Australian program S3C4. It’s a great honor to have the opportunity to be the parent representative today. Please allow me to represent all the parents of senior 3 Australian program to extend warm congratulations to the students who have successfully completed their high school studies and are about to start a new journey, and express my heartfelt thanks to the teachers who have devoted a lot of effort to the growth of their children!
 
Frankly, I am nervous here as a representative of parents as I didn’t require a lot during my child’s education, and I don’t have any meaningful experience to share. Let's just talk about some feelings that I got in the process of children's growth.
 
First of all, I would be grateful to Entel for its campus environment which is the combination of leniency and strictness. 
 
At the beginning of junior high school, we visited several private junior middle schools. Most of the others had really good hardware environment, but those schools paid more attention to the general consequence of the middle school entrance examination, which always feels a sense of depression for the students. However, when we went in to the campus of Entel, every student we met was generous, and their face were full optimism and self-confidence. It could be said that we chose Entel to be our ideal school at the first sight we saw it. At the same time, Daniel was also very lucky, he passed two exams and entered Entel without mathematics scores and award-winning certificates. 
 
The six years in Entel could be divided into two stages, with the third year to be the boundary. He didn’t use to live on campus at the beginning of junior high school as he only lived on campus one day a week. When he became a junior 2 student, he lived on campus two days a week. Nevertheless, in senior high school, he completely adapted to live on campus and even refused to go home for several weeks to prepare for serious exams. His junior high school life is just similar to primary school, he didn’t study hard and his grade was just normal among all students. At the same time, he did not control the time for after class activities as his class teacher asked us to pack up his badminton rackets.
 
In comparison, he became self-disciplined in senior high school, keep doing exercise and playing sports every day but with self-control, and his personality turned into confident and cheerful. This transformation is inseparable from the edification of Entel culture and the teaching of teachers which have correctly guided Daniel’s ideological trends, personality and behavior. Because of Entel, Daniel has studied passionately for three years and has had a happy middle school life for six years.
 
The second is the harmonious and relaxed family environment. The focus of most families today is on the achievements of children, but for us, we pay attention to it but not overly concern about it. When Daniel comes home after a week's study in school, we want him to relax, play sports together, chat about some relaxed topics. As for study, we let him say what he is willing to say but never force him to say if he is unwilling to do so. Also, we would offer some suggestions to things that are important in our mind. When his academic performance was not decent in junior middle school, we barely expressed anxiety while encouraging him most of the time. In my opinion, the function of the family is to help children release their pressure and adjust their mindset.
 
The third is to stimulate children's learning drive. I always think that learning is the child's own business. Only when he realizes that he should study hard, he will have the motivation to focus on studying. I have always adopted a more "relaxed" attitude towards his study, and never asked him to compete for the top of the class. At the same time, I often said to him, "the purpose of learning is not to score, but to understand knowledge. The results only judge your learning at this stage. The key is to apply what you learn, not high scores and low abilities."
 
In junior high school, Daniel rarely took the initiative to say about his grades for examinations. I can only judge his level from the average and median scores given by the school. I felt that there was still a gap between his rank and the required ranking for Hangzhou Foreign Language School. At that time, I was anxious and asked him if he needed to carry out targeted extracurricular tutoring, but he didn't realize the gap in between and refused to have extra classes, and we didn't force him. After the mid-term examination of junior three, he realized the gap and was proactive to ask for supplementary courses in science. But for English which was his weak subject, he decided to catch up by himself. 
 
That period of about one and a half month was the most diligent learning state of him since he was in junior high school. At that time, his communication with us became active and frequent, but in the end, English delayed him and he failed to surpass the grade required for Hangzhou Foreign Language School. I remember the day which score came out, he called and cried very sad. I was very worried because of this, hurried home immediately to comfort him: "it doesn't matter. It's just a small step in your life. Good grades occur because of the time you spend every day and cannot be replaced by a short-term hard work. As long as you work hard, the Australian program is also a good choice, and you will not be far behind those who are in Hangzhou Foreign Language School." He gradually calmed down and said he would study hard next.
 
Because he didn’t like memorizing words and was trying to cut corners in English homework, there were a lot of problems in his English knowledge frame, and his confidence in learning is not very sufficient. On the one hand, I told him that English is the foundation of the Australian program, otherwise it will affect the study of other subjects. On the other hand, English teachers have been encouraging him since he joined this program, which has re-stimulated his confidence in learning English. As his attitude towards English changed, from rejecting memorizing words to actively memorizing words, his vocabulary has increased, and his performance for English class has been improved quickly. Since then, English learning has embarked on a virtuous circle. The results of other subjects have also been improved due to the change of learning attitude.
 
The fourth is to believe in children, respect and support their wishes. Everyone is eager to be respected by others, and so are children. We have never reported extra-curricular classes to our children without his permission. all extra-curricular classes are selected by him, and subject guidance books are also selected by him. I was only responsible for financial support. In high school, he had stronger self-consciousness. He joined several school activities and off campus competitions independently and I was only told when I needed to pick up or pay for the school's services. Also, some of the prize information was learned by the school's official account.
 
In senior three, the child hoped to receive more professional badminton training. As soon as I heard it, I was a little worried. The third year of senior high school was a critical moment, and time was precious. Although he repeatedly promised not to affect his study, the intensive training on weekends would lead to physical fatigue and reduced learning efficiency. Finally, through consultation with him and the coach, we reasonably arranged the training courses so that he could not only ensure the learning time, but also receive professional training.
 
Middle school is only a stage of life. There are still many shortcomings in Daniel, which needs him to continuously learn and improve. The above are some superficial understandings of children's education. If there is anything that you hold a different perspective, please criticize and correct them.
 
Finally, I wish all teachers and parents good health, success in work, and family happiness! I wish all the students of Australian program a bright future! And I wish Entel a better tomorrow!
