Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School student Yang Xiao won 1st place in the A2 division of the National German Olympiad (NDO) and qualified to represent China at the International German Olympiad (IDO) in Mannheim, Germany. Her classmate Wang Ziying also advanced to the national final. The competition, organized by the Goethe-Institut, tests German proficiency, cross-cultural understanding, and creative thinking. Yang’s comic work, “Zwischen uns, ein Schnurren,” was completed under intense time pressure and reflects the school’s strong international education and multilingual talent training.
