On June 12, Professor Matthias Dörrzapf of the University of Cambridge visited Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School. His lecture “How Mathematics Builds AI” revealed that AI’s core rests on deep mathematical theory. He shared Cambridge’s philosophy of seeking academic passion, critical thinking, and growth potential over perfect scores. In a roundtable, he encouraged diverse interests and stressed that independent thinking and originality are humans’ irreplaceable strengths in the AI era.
