This September, University of St Andrews, University of the Arts Singapore (UAS), and Hult International Business School brought their admissions officers and professors to Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School for a series of immersive, face-to-face events. From St Andrews, students discovered a 600-year legacy of academic excellence, the university’s top-ranked programs in international relations and economics, and its flexible curriculum encouraging interdisciplinary exploration before choosing a degree. From UAS came a thought-provoking message: in the age of AI, human judgment and creativity matter more than ever — emotion, intuition, and contextual thinking are uniquely human, and they sit at the heart of arts education. The highlight came with Hult’s live negotiation workshop, where students formed “business teams” and navigated three rounds of high-stakes simulated bargaining under incomplete information, turning textbook economics into real-time strategy. These encounters broke down information barriers, leaving students with clearer academic roadmaps and sharper visions of their futures.
