On September 28, two teachers from Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School — Yang Jinhui (English) and Yao Lujia (Mathematics) — each won First Prize in the 2026 Yuhang District “Future-Ready Classroom” competition for AI-empowered teaching. Yang’s narrative reading lesson employed a read-write integrated model — students first extracted key story elements in 15 minutes, then composed a retelling draft in groups and presented it orally using an AI-generated video based on the text, and finally created poetry posters through AI text-to-image generation to deepen thematic understanding. Yao built her entire lesson around robot “Xiao π” — guiding students from a real campus logistics problem to discovering inequalities, then through the intelligent agent’s interactive questioning and number-line visualization to complete the transition between verbal, symbolic, and graphical mathematical language, closing the loop of “life—math—life.” For both teachers, AI was never a gimmick but a cognitive partner throughout the lesson. The school will continue supporting teachers in exploring AI-integrated classrooms, empowering every student’s growth.
