Entel Students Excel at SJTU Mathematical Modeling Camp
Hangzhou Entel students joined an intensive mathematical modeling camp at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) from January 20–23, advancing skills in Python programming, LaTeX, and AI-driven problem-solving. The event, part of Entel’s “Excellence Talent Training Base” partnership with SJTU, featured guidance from MIT alumna Chen Zitong and award-winning professors Ren Tongxin and Feng Yuqin.
Teams tackled real-world challenges: predicting rainfall via interpolation models and optimizing travel routes using hierarchical analysis and algorithms. Students also toured SJTU’s innovation labs, observing drone construction and CNC machining. Vice Principal Zhu Chengmin highlighted how modeling bridges disciplines—from spherical geometry to economics—while fostering collaboration under pressure.
The camp reinforced Entel’s commitment to cultivating AI-era innovators through cross-disciplinary, hands-on learning.
