Entel-Devonport Cultural Exchange Bridges East and West
From October 24–28, 21 UK students from Devonport High School for Girls immersed in a cultural exchange at Hangzhou Entel, attending joint A-Level classes (Math, Physics, Economics) and exploring Chinese heritage through Tai Chi, pottery workshops, and calligraphy sessions.
Homestay families guided British guests through West Lake and Hefang Street, with cultural highlights including Hanfu dress-ups and Longjing tea ceremonies. A Sino-British music night featured guzheng performances and collaborative singing of Jasmine Flower.
Deputy Headmaster Mr. Linoster and Principal Gong Yaodong signed an agreement to expand partnerships, prioritizing summer school programs and faculty exchanges. Student reflections emphasized cross-cultural bonds forged through dumpling-making, pop culture discussions, and shared city walks.
This fifth annual exchange reinforced Entel’s role as a hub for global educational collaboration, blending academic rigor with cultural diplomacy.
