Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School joined the 2023 Sino-Japan Teenager Exchange Program, with teacher He Lexiao guiding 14 students through a government-sponsored cultural odyssey from October 25 to November 2.

The delegation underwent rigorous pre-departure diplomatic training in Beijing, where experts from China Foreign Affairs University and ministerial officials drilled participants in cross-cultural protocol and bilateral relations.

In Japan, Entel students engaged in academic exchanges at Daito Bunka University, experienced agricultural homestays, and explored landmarks like Senso-ji Temple’s architectural marvels. Their peer-to-peer collaborations with Japanese high schoolers yielded creative projects comparing Eastern philosophical traditions.

“This immersive program has redefined our understanding of global citizenship,” noted He, whose team now leads campus-wide initiatives promoting intercultural dialogue. The experience strengthened Entel’s position in the Ministry of Education’s Asia-Pacific Youth Leadership Network.
