Zhejiang-Hong Kong-Macao Sister Schools Forge STEAM Partnerships

On February 25, the “Zhejiang-Hong Kong-Macao Sister School Exchange Conference” was held in Hangzhou, organized by provincial and national education authorities. During the event, 15 school pairs, including Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School and Hong Kong C.C.C. Heep Woh College, signed sister school agreements.

Both schools committed to joint STEAM projects, teacher-student exchanges, and resource sharing. Heep Woh College, a top-tier bilingual institution renowned for its interdisciplinary STEAM curriculum, aligns closely with Entel’s focus on multilingual education and AI innovation.


In a principal-level dialogue, Entel’s Principal Gong Yaodong and Heep Woh’s Principal Lü Haorong highlighted shared goals: enhancing teacher professionalism through blended seminars and advancing STEAM digitalization. Future collaboration will prioritize AI-driven educational tools and student-led STEAM initiatives.

The partnership aims to pioneer cross-regional educational models, supporting the integration of Zhejiang, Hong Kong, and Macao’s academic strengths.

From Entel! Representing China! Spotlight in Japan!
 From December 8 to 14, nine high school students from our school participated in the 2024 China-Japan Youth Exchange Program organized by the Ministry of Education as representatives of Chinese youth. During their week in Japan, the students visited the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, toured Musashino Art University and the Kagawa Chichu Art Museum, explored the societal impacts of "design" through learning and reflection, engaged in discussions with Japanese high school students, and joined youth representatives from Kawasaki City in tree-planting activities.

Science Café: A Remarkable Dialogue of Sino-Foreign Collaboration
In the context of global industrialization, extreme weather phenomena pose severe challenges to human society and the natural environment. To address these challenges, on December 9, the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology hosted a "Science Café" event themed "Agricultural Sustainable Development Under Climate Change," inviting experts and scholars from Germany’s Heidelberg Institute for Environmental Economic Analysis and Zhejiang University for specialized presentations. Teachers and students from Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School participated as representatives.

German University Alliance Ruhr Representative Ms. Schweimnitz Visits Entel – Three "Astonishing Moments"
On October 23, at the invitation of Aachen Preparatory College, Germany, Ms. Schweimnitz from the University Alliance Ruhr visited Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School to evaluate the institution’s overall educational operations and assess the faculty and teaching quality of its German program.
Ms. Schweimnitz was warmly received by Principal Ren, who introduced Entel’s educational history and philosophy, the overview of its bilingual Department, and the school’s support and future plans for German programs.

Entel Educators Attended China-Japan Education Forum along with Peking University, The University of Tokyo, Waseda University
On November 13, the 10th China-Japan Education Exchange Conference was successfully held at the International Conference Center of the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) in Tokyo. Zou Hailian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Principal of our school, and Japanese language teacher Sun Jiaying were invited to attend.
